For USCENTCOM personnel deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, CCHAG team members at the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) designed the ultimate example of individualized self-taught CPP instruction: a double-sided four- by six-inch card printed Soldier Pocket Card that contains basic top-of-mind information and guidance on cultural heritage issues and cultural property protection.
Printed on robust yet pliable and waterproof card stock, the Soldier Pocket Card fits neatly into the shoulder pocket of a USCENTCOM Battle Dress Uniform for ready reference. Some 110,000 Soldier Pocket cards have been printed at CEMML and shipped to pre-deployment training centers in the US and to personnel operating in Afghanistan and Iraq in tandem with CCHAG’s CPP Playing Cards.
