CCHAG’s reachback capability supports COCOM decision makers and Joint Force Planners and Engineers like a virtual expert, always by their side. Our network of subject matter experts, our databases and unique technologies are always at the ready to assist all levels in the military hierarchy, from senior decision makers to troops in the field.
Maintaining Global CPP Situational Awareness
CCHAG’s complex mission requires our staff to maintain awareness of the global military and threat environment and its potential impact on cultural property that is subject to protection under international law. CCHAG’s Operations Center at Fort Drum and at CEMML (Center for Environmental Management of Military Laws) at Colorado State University play a vital role in maintaining global CPP awareness.
Access to Best-of-Breed Capabilities and Expertise
Whether it’s assistance in locating a World Heritage Site in a war zone or technical guidance to prevent unnecessary destruction of cultural property during post-conflict reconstruction, CCHAG provides quick access to the finest Cultural Property subject matter experts and database information to help our nation’s commanders, warfighters and our allies do the job without unintended consequences.
One part of our capability and domain expertise can be viewed in a series of HCPP Reachback websites, produced for CENTCOM personnel serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and the biennial Exercise Bright Star.
CCHAG’s capabilities, expertise and rapid response are equal to the most challenging situations that our COCOM and Joint Force partners will face.
