The COCOM Cultural Heritage Action Group’s subject matter experts provide databases of historical, religious, cultural and archeological sites and structures with validated coordinates (latitude/longitude, MGRS and UTM coordinates) and any other information, data and photographs required by the mission.
Online databases are most useful for training purposes, for the creation of “no strike” lists, and as Reach Back Support for combat forces and engineering teams operating in regions where protected sites and structures that are often not included in standard military maps and are not indicated by signs on the ground or on local maps.
Site coordinate data can be delivered via the Internet or via secure transmission to meet any requirement.
